When the Hokies are in town we host a tailgate on the GT campus. Next tailgate will be in 2023, but here is the information from our last tailgate in October 2021. GO HOKIES!!
The Atlanta Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association and the Atlanta Hokie Club cordially invite you to join fellow Hokie fans at the October 30th VT vs GT football game for the Official Atlanta Hokies Tailgate Party!
We have partnered with Tailgate Guys to put together a first class event on the lawn at Tech Green, just a short stroll from Bobby Dodd Stadium. That’s right, this year’s event will be an outdoor tented event with tables, chairs, TVs, food and drink – fully furnished and serviced by Tailgate Guys. You won’t want to miss out on this party!
TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW!
Your ticket gets you entrance into the Official Atlanta Hokies Tailgate event, and includes:
- Food and drinks (BBQ, two sides, water and soda)
- Adult beverages (beer and seltzer)
- First class tailgating environment provided by Tailgate Guys
START/END TIME
Game time is still TBD, so we will update once that is announced. The tailgate will start 3 hours before the game. You are also welcome to leave items under the tent during the game and return to the tent following the game to wait out traffic and continue the festivities. Please note that food will only be provided by the chapter before the game (not during or after). Attendees are welcome to bring additional snacks and drinks for before or after the game. Items can be left at the tent during the game.
LOCATION AND SETUP
The Tailgate Event is located near the stadium at Tech Green on Georgia Tech’s campus.
Tailgate Guys will have us setup with huge tents with tables, chairs, TVs, theater seating, standing areas, food and beverage. We’re located on the Tech Green, which is a prime tailgate location:

- Children 5 and under are welcome to attend the tailgate for free.

WHO ARE THE TAILGATE GUYS?
Tailgate Guys partners with universities across the country to offer guests the ideal game day tailgating experience. In addition to Georgia Tech, they are official partners of numerous other schools including Auburn, Penn State, Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas, Florida, and starting this year our very own Virginia Tech Hokies.
